At its Jan. 27, 2026 meeting, the Whittier City Council heard extensive public comment on proposed changes to the city's Parkway Tree Manual, authorized preparation of an environmental impact report and legal/public-relations contracts, directed staff to rework the short-term rental ordinance and approved several budget amendments and infrastructure projects including sidewalk repairs and a Beverly Boulevard realignment.
