Chair John Mead opened the regularly scheduled April 9 meeting of the Geneva Planning and Zoning Commission, introduced commissioners and staff (Michael Slifka, Adam Metaskill, Rebecca Holman, Tim Moran, Mim Evans, community development director David de Groot, city planner Matt Busing, assistant planner Jesse Malkoski) and confirmed a quorum.
The Geneva Planning & Zoning Commission held a concept review on April 9 for a proposed 13‑unit hybrid live/work residential development at 223 East State Street (Altezza). Staff recommended rescinding the 2002 Youngberg PUD and creating a new PUD tailored to the proposal; commissioners broadly supported the concept but raised enforcement, signage, design and historic‑preservation concerns. The applicant plans to submit a PUD application in May.
