The Richmond Community Schools board held a quarterly strategic-plan update and heard more than an hour of public comment urging the board to preserve arts, music and PE programs amid proposed staffing cuts driven by a new state property-tax law and declining enrollment. The board approved routine consent and action items, including an athletic-turf contract, a food-service renewal and Chromebook purchases.
