Knox County Schools staff presented a proposed FY27 general purpose budget, a five-year capital improvement plan and a balanced school nutrition budget that together prioritize employee pay increases, maintain school staffing ratios and fund major capital projects; the board will vote at a special called meeting next week and the county commission will consider the budget in May and June.
