Meeting called to order, pledge of allegiance, roll call (Johnson, Kelly, Makolski, Sabatini, Leaks May), and council voted to approve the agenda with addition of a Ferndale School Board presentation (new Item 4B).
Ferndale City Council met in regular session. Council heard updates from the county commissioner and the school board, accepted a donation and approved a microchip scanner station, opened the first reading of the FY27–29 triennial budget, approved a water contract amendment with GLWA, adopted a temporary moratorium on new data-center applications, awarded a sewer rehabilitation contract, and approved purchase of an augmented-reality fire-extinguisher trainer. Public commenters pressed for neighborhood speed bumps and raised concerns about county drone surveillance and access to surveillance data.
