Hermantown City Council held a long public meeting focused on a proposed rezoning of roughly 220 acres in the Adolf area to allow business and light manufacturing, part of which developers say would host a hyperscale data‑center campus. Council heard extensive staff presentations and more than 100 public commenters both for and against the rezoning; council did not take a final vote on the rezoning during this session.
