At its March 16, 2026 regular meeting, the Switzerland County Board of Commissioners approved a memorandum of understanding to house inmates from an Ohio county that county staff said would bring roughly $250,000 a year; they also approved routine claims and minutes, retained a law firm, authorized several equipment purchases including a coroner truck, and discussed highway work and personnel items.
