Brookings School District 05-1 Superintendent Dr. Summer Schultz discussed the April 14 school board meeting that resulted in reduction-in-force notices to three staffers, the district's budget pressures and enrollment trends, improvements from a "science of reading" rollout at Dakota Prairie, and planned high-school science-wing renovations beginning this summer.
