Assistant Attorney General Christian Agler announced the board returned from executive session after discussing a pending Denver District Court case (2025 CB 333341) and a conveyance related to ecosystem services lease ES 118010; no board actions were taken in executive session.
The Colorado State Land Board met March 12, 2026. The board amended the Lowry Ranch oil-and-gas tier map to expand some no-surface-occupancy protections, approved several stewardship and conservation measures (including an ecosystem services lease expected to generate roughly $4.1 million), authorized $165,000 for Lowry Ranch weed control and $358,800 in improvements at Chancellor Ranch, approved a 102-acre Highland Solar production lease, and advanced a March oil-and-gas auction with conservation stipulations.
