The Beloit School District board held a special workshop April 14 to give staff guidance on preparing the 2026–27 budget, review a staff survey about spending priorities, and discuss options including use of OPEB, selling vacant properties, restoring positions and strategies to shore up athletics funding. No final policy votes were taken; the board directed administration to flesh out plans and return to the regular meeting.
