The Lamar County Board of Education met July 15, 2025, in Purvis and approved the 2025–26 budget, several land-lease actions and routine consent items, accepted a board member resignation and set a special election. The board entered executive session for student and personnel matters and approved multiple personnel releases and a student attendance waiver.
