The Urbana Zoning Board of Appeals heard a request from the City of Urbana Public Works to grant a major variance exempting interior shade trees for a planned expansion of the Public Works parking lot at 706 South Glover Avenue. The board voted to recommend approval to the City Council with conditions requiring perimeter landscaping where feasible and final tree placement to be determined by city staff.
