Federal Way Parks & Recreation, Human Services, Public Safety Committee met April 14, 2026; key items included public comments on holiday displays and flag policy, an update and Q&A on ALPR/Flock cameras, approval votes to forward police wellness grant and SRO interlocal agreement to the April 21 consent agenda, acceptance of Brook Lake master plan, discussion of King County grant covenant terms, a detailed parks capital-priority briefing, several consent items (security contract amendment, vehicle replacements, stage trailer purchase), updates on Dumas Bay and the Federal Way Performing Arts & Event Center, a lengthy discussion of the city's flag policy, and forwarding a proposed massage-business ordinance to public hearing.
