Syracuse City Transportation committee heard a preliminary presentation on the Regional Transportation Center / Regional Market Area Mobility Improvements Project, including scope, funding, schedule and design details; public comments emphasized pedestrian safety and requested earlier sidewalk/crosswalk work. Staff said $3,500,000 in state and federal TAP funds are committed for pedestrian and bicycle improvements and design will advance this year with construction tentatively in 2027.
