Montgomery County Council held a public hearing on the proposed FY27 operating budget and FY27–32 Public Services and Fiscal Policy. Dozens of residents and nonprofit leaders urged increased funding for aging and disability services, nonprofit contract COLAs, parks, housing, mental-health and food programs, and debated the future of the Dickerson waste-to-energy incinerator.
