Morris City Council on Aug. 12 opened with routine business, heard a public hearing and approved creation of a tax-increment financing (TIF) district to support a proposed 60-unit apartment project, and voted to send a letter of support for the Chrissy Lake dam restoration. Council also approved several consent items including airport grants, a liquor-store bidding advertisement and debris-collection support after recent floods.
