Kane County ad hoc Riverboat Grant Committee met April 20, 2026, to review fiscal-year 2027 internal grant requests from county departments. After staff briefings and public comment, the committee largely kept an approximate 80/20 internal-to-external funding target, recommended full funding for the county's lobbying contract and the strategic plan request, debated use of unobligated reserves for certain prosecutor accounts, and sent its recommendations to the executive committee for final action.
