Board President Sean Heitman called the Oct. 20 meeting to order, introduced board members (Zach Wall, Elizabeth Wise, Sarah Baltus, Karina Hernandez, Maria Morales, Leah Stanley), Superintendent Dr. Theron Schutte, and board secretary Randy Denham, and announced public-comment procedures and the district mission reading and Pledge of Allegiance.
The Marshalltown Community School District Board met Oct. 20, 2025. Topics included recognition of a corporate donation for elementary spirit shirts, student presentations from the NHI club and high-school clubs, a Rogers Elementary school performance and culture report (attendance, ELL growth, social-emotional work), approval of early bid packages and public hearing dates for the Miller Middle School project, discussion of a possible voluntary early-retirement incentive, and a set of policy first-readings and amendments.
