Mount Pleasant Area SD board met April 1, 2026. The board recognized student athletes and students of the month, heard a preliminary 2026–27 budget presentation showing a $1.257 million preliminary deficit and possible millage scenarios, approved routine personnel and contract items, rejected the WIU preliminary operating budget in an 8–0 roll-call, heard public comment about school start dates vs. the county fair, and adjourned.
