Chair (speaker 1) asked to reconvene in open session and asked the clerk to read a resolution certifying that only matters lawfully exempted under Virginia law were discussed in the closed meeting. The board moved, seconded and adopted the certification by roll call.
The Chesterfield County School Board met Oct. 14, 2025. The meeting opened with certification of a closed session and multiple routine student and personnel motions, followed by recognitions, a long public-comment period focused on a board member's controversial social-media remarks and school safety concerns, and board action adopting a Deep Creek Elementary attendance zone (Option 1) and immediately adopting a grievance form policy (Policy 5150F).
