The Lexington City Council held a public hearing on the proposed 2025–2026 budget, which the city estimated would raise $20,858.43 (5.61%) in total property taxes, including $6,237.59 from new property; there were no citizen comments. The council also approved routine items, a variance for a mobile home, event permits and an alcohol variance for the Nov. 8 Fall Festival, and changed City Hall hours for six months (3–2).
