At a March 24, 2026 special meeting, the Florence City Council met in closed session under Texas Gov. Code §551.0761 to confer with BVRT Utility Holding Company regarding the city’s wastewater treatment plant; upon returning to open session the council authorized staff to pursue discussions and a tour, approved several personnel hires and a $19,775 invoice payment, and tabled a parks rental decision.
