At its April 20, 2026 meeting the Whitley County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing on a petition to vacate a 10-foot alley at Crampton Road, denied the vacation but approved allowing adjacent owners to remove a hazardous tree with proof of insurance; the board also heard an Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs briefing and approved routine agenda items including selecting Gibson as the county benefits broker.
