Chair Stewart opened the Government Operations and Fiscal Policy Committee and announced that the committee will review ten budgets this morning and invited Director Shetty and Dr. Torregas to present the Office of Procurement budget.
The Government Operations and Fiscal Policy Committee reviewed multiple departmental budgets, including Procurement (which requested an e‑procurement system), the Department of General Services (custodial changes, apprenticeship proposal, and a state grant to a Takoma Park car wash), the Community Engagement Cluster (BlackRock funding and a mural), payments to municipalities NDA, the Office of Human Resources (insurance and hiring initiatives) and labor relations items. Several items were placed on the reconciliation list or recommended to full council.
