The Traverse City Commission met Oct. 6, 2025. Commissioners approved several routine purchases and permits, expanded a grant-writing contract to pursue private and state funding in addition to federal IRA/IJA grants, adopted an implementation policy for charter amendments related to tax-increment financing after extended debate, introduced an ethics ordinance for possible enactment Oct. 20, and set Indigenous Peoples Day for future recognition.
