Beaufort County Council held its Sept. 9 meeting, heard extended public comment supporting the County Protection Overlay and urging acquisition of Pine Island, approved multiple ordinances and property actions (including a $120 million hospital revenue pledge), and scheduled a Sept. 16 special meeting to hear Pine Island litigation presentations in executive session.
