At the April 20, 2026 regular meeting of the SAN ANGELO ISD Board of Trustees the board voted 7-0 to table a planned abatement and demolition of the historic Carver Learning Center for six months after extended public comment; the board also approved multiple bond-funded construction items, adopted educational specifications and a five-year facility plan, and acknowledged constraints meeting a state bus-safety mandate.
