The Waunakee Community School District HR committee and teacher representatives exchanged matching proposals for a 2.63% base wage increase (with a $1,988 equal distribution) and agreed to a tentative sign-off; the committee then reviewed meet-and-confer priorities including teacher retention, workload/PLC time, mental-health supports, and DEI implementation. Board action on the tentative agreement is planned for May 11; union membership consideration will follow.
