At its April 21, 2026 meeting, the Lawrence Board of Zoning Appeals denied a petitioner’s request for a variance to build a 3,200 sq ft accessory barn at 7442 Indian Lake Road and continued a separate request from AutoZone for a freestanding pole sign at 4700 Post Road. The board cited zoning-scale, precedent and corridor-clutter concerns.
