At its organizational meeting on Jan. 4, 2011, the Smyth County Board of Zoning Appeals elected John Saunders chairman, appointed E. P. Ogle vice chairman and Newell Johnson secretary, set the 2011 meeting schedule, approved operating procedures and accepted the 2010 annual report; staff noted limited local training due to budget cuts.
