East Grand Forks City Council met July 1, 2025. The council adopted Ordinance 47 (second reading) regulating cannabis and lower-potency hemp edibles, approved a multi-year lease with Independent School District 595 for civic facilities, authorized purchases and memorial signage, and voted to remove a $2 monthly ‘green site’ utility fee. Staff were asked to follow up on a resident complaint about an odor from American Crystal’s stormwater pond.
