The Public Education Funding Commission voted unanimously or near-unanimously to adopt a five-part package recommending a phased, hybrid funding model, a temporary hold-harmless provision, a freeze-and-modernize approach to equalization, extension of the commission, and study of local funding reform. The chair said two Senate bills (SB302 and SB303) will be filed to carry the recommendations into the 2026 legislative session.
