Members of the Institutions Committee heard testimony from formerly incarcerated Vermonters and community reentry providers about gaps in reentry services: missing IDs and medication on release, inconsistent caseworker follow-through, limited work/training programs, and contraband entering facilities, especially at privately run out-of-state sites.
