The Beaufort County Public Facilities & Safety Committee held a special meeting on June 4 to consider amendments to a proposed transportation sales-and-use tax referendum. After debate over program length, project priorities and municipal allocations, the committee recommended a 10-year, $950 million referendum and forwarded that recommendation to County Council with an exclusion for one Bluffton municipal item ("5 b").
