Alachua County Board of County Commissioners held a reorganizational meeting in Gainesville on Nov. 12, 2024. Commissioners elected Charles "Chuck" Chestnut as chair and Ken Cornell as vice chair, heard public comment on landfill and trail projects, approved staff recommendations on broadband and housing programs, and received presentations on a mobile integrated health team and local conservation matters.
