Mayor (presiding) called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., announced invocation and pledge order and asked attendees to rise. He then asked Mr. Johnson to call the roll.
City council conducted its regular meeting: approved routine appointments and grants, heard presentations on Chapman Highway safety improvements and several park/heritage grants, accepted donations and affordable housing funding, debated adding the internal auditor to the waste/fraud reporting process, approved a $50,000 innovation public-safety grant application, and advanced the fiscal-year budget on first reading while postponing the second reading to May 26.
