Meeting opened; roll call noted all board members present except Mr. Snuffer. Chair asked for a motion to approve the agenda with one adjustment; motion was moved and seconded and the board voted to approve the agenda.
The Raleigh County Schools board meeting opened with roll call and recognized math field day winners and a nationally certified school nurse. A parent raised safety concerns at Stratton Elementary park after a reported fentanyl overdose; board members heard staff reports, a PBIS presentation from Traphill (Trap Hill) Middle School, approved textbook adoptions and several personnel recommendations, and approved suspensions and administrative leave. Multiple routine motions carried unanimously.
