The Fort Myers Beach Public Safety Committee met April 26, 2026, to discuss reconstituting a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), a visitor e-bike safety campaign tied to Florida Senate Bill 382, a proposed lightning-strike detection network and county integration options, neighborhood public-safety events for October, crosswalk safety and traffic mitigation, and a monthly fire service report including reopening of Station 31 and improving response times.
