On May 14, 2024, the Madison County Board of Elections met to verify the chain of custody for mailed absentee ballots and to tabulate ballots and early voting machine results from the county's Second Primary. The board recessed midafternoon and reconvened that evening to complete printing of block-style results; a motion to adjourn passed 4-0 at 10:30 p.m.
