The parks committee met to elect leadership, approve routine business and unanimously recommend hiring an architectural consultant to design a consolidated shelter and concession stand at Colburn Park; the recommendation will go to common counsel for final approval. The director reported Bay Beach Amusement Park opens this weekend and the department is still hiring lifeguards.
