Whitley County Con Schools board met May 4 to recognize student and staff achievements, approve two job postings (a Little Turtle Elementary dean and a full-time WCCS marketing and communications director), take a first reading of a new bell-to-bell cell phone policy required by Senate Bill 78, and review proposed 2026–27 district and student handbooks with changes on attendance, sign-out procedures, dress code, photographing/video and deepfakes.
