Vice Chair Ron Satterfield called the meeting to order, explained the format for introductions and asked board members and staff to introduce themselves. New members and staff were identified (Todd Morrison, Robert Gallagher, Brett Keeler, John Coleman, Katie Barber Jones, Tim Owens, Justin Brantley and others).
The Pender County Planning Board reviewed and approved a revision to the Point South master development plan and held a workshop on a proposed Unified Development Ordinance amendment to expand farmers and artisan markets. The board approved the Point South revision 3–2 after discussion about consistency with the 2050 comprehensive plan, traffic and school impacts; a nearby resident raised dust/erosion complaints. Staff will draft market text language for future review.
