Spanish Fort City Council held its May meeting with ceremonial recognitions, a public comment thanking the city for tennis-court access, a police swearing-in and promotions, proclamations for EMS and Safe Boating Week, and adoption of a zoning amendment allowing limited outside display of a golf cart sales use. A county/ALDOT tax-exemption request for the Mobile River/Bayway project received a first reading and will return for consideration.
