Alachua County Commission held a virtual meeting covering COVID-19 response (school protocols, testing and contact tracing), CARES Act distributions, enforcement of the emergency order, a proposed downtown outdoor seating pilot, amendments to the emergency management ordinance and subrecipient agreements, a lengthy discussion and vote to begin an interlocal service boundary agreement process with the City of Alachua, workshops on land-development code changes (trees, landscaping, docks), consideration of commercial-hauler franchise options, and authorization to issue bonds to buy two county buildings.
