The Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education met May 6, 2026. The board heard more than 10 public commenters (many urging protection of physical education and special education services), reviewed progress-monitoring data showing the district is off track on interim goal 4.2 (skills, habits and mindsets for grades 6–12), approved a general obligation bond sale, and adopted the FY2027 budget after a contested vote.
