Palm Beach County School District held a May 6 policy workshop to review proposed updates to choice and student-assignment rules — including changes to student reassignment (Policy 5.015), controlled open enrollment (Policy 5.018), repeal of out-of-district enrollment (Policy 5.04), and revisions to choice schools/programs (Policy 5.016). Board members asked about verification for out-of-county applicants, transportation, transparency of seat availability and special-education safeguards; final adoption is scheduled for July 15.
