The Montgomery County Public Safety Committee reviewed operational and policy recommendations from the Maddie’s Million Pet Challenge consultant report for the county animal shelter, discussed spay/neuter capacity, stray-hold rules, community cat programs, volunteer screening and staffing needs, and asked staff to return with ordinance and budget follow-ups.
