The Los Altos Hills Planning Commission met April 22 to continue discussion of multifamily development standards tied to the town's housing element; after staff and consultant presentations and public comment, the commission voted to replace the prior unit-mix table with a 0.45 floor-area-ratio (FAR) standard and to add a 0.05 FAR incentive for senior housing. Commissioners also discussed ADU basement rules and asked staff to update ADU/SB9 ordinances; they clarified that, under current interpretation, basements are not permitted inside the 30-foot setback.
