Rutherford County Department of Social Services board convened for its June meeting, heard a financial update, reviewed personnel and program reports, heard that the county has 23 foster homes for about 186 children, discussed a proposed ‘bring the kids back’ effort with state lawmakers, and moved to a brief closed session.
