At a Town Board workshop in Grand Island, members appointed a Climate Smart Communities task force and spent much of the meeting debating a high-cost splash pad purchase that several board members said was ordered without full board approval. The board voted to pause the vendor order and directed staff and engineering to contact the vendor and report back before the next meeting.
